Working Group

The Larrakia Cultural Centre Working Group was formed in 2017 to provide advice into the Larrakia Cultural Centre’s purpose and design. We value their inputs and contributions as we progress the Larrakia Cultural Centre.

“The LDC has pursued the development of the LCC since 2005. The LCC will be a centre for Larrakia people to explore and showcase their culture, language and history. The LCC will provide social and economic opportunities and development to all Territorians. Like all LDC projects, the LDC will develop and operate the LCC for all Larrakia.”

“Larrakia people and country are still here, and the Larrakia Culture Centre will hold, share and celebrate past, present and emerging Larrakia history… about us – our old and young people, our land, our culture, our language, of our achievements, of our struggles and survival for current and future generations. I am proud to be a part of the Working Group to realise the Larrakia Culture Centre.”
